Reality Hits Home for Aging Baby Boomers

Anne A. Kellett, ASID, CID, is an Instructor in Interior Design at the Design Institute of San Diego. Besides serving as the ASID Student Chapter Advisor, she also counsels each student: “All Design Institute students set the stage for their career path personally guided by our Career Development and Internship Advisor, Anne Kellett. Anne, a professional interior designer and educator, takes her responsibility seriously; helping students match their skills and interests with professional goals and dreams of a satisfying career.”
In addition to her educational duties, Kellett is a professional role model. In 2009, Anne won the Meow Madness design competition for a cat habitat at the San Diego Humane Society. Her CATaquarium was installed there as the permanent habitat for adoption viewing. In addition to winning the original design contest, Anne was also named in the June 2010 issue of San Diego Magazine as the First Place winner (Specialty Category) in the ASID Annual Design Excellence Awards competition.
Ms. Kellett obtained her BS in Clothing, Textiles, & Related Arts from the University of Connecticut. She earned the MS, Clothing, Textiles, & Related Arts, at Oregon State University.
