Young Architect of the Year Plus Student Showcase
April 19, 2008
As Principal of Studio: Anderson Inc, located in San Diego, Aaron Anderson emphasizes the exploration of new design interpretations by adapting varying technical and artistic processes which best reflect the client’s particular situation.
Anderson graduated from the School of Architecture at Arizona State University with an American Institute of Architecture Design Excellence Student distinction.
Aaron’s background in industrial fabrication and interest in filmmaking is reflected in the design of spaces through the use of complex movable systems, dramatic sequences and dynamic use of material transparency.
Projects of significance include the Barrio Logan Workspace, Arclinea San Diego, the Kranzler Residence and Sculpture Garden, the Krasne Residence Courtyard, City Dog Petshop, and Flip-a-Strip, a competition proposal for the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art.
Anderson is the recipient of numerous awards including an AIA Central Arizona Design Excellence Award, an AIA San Diego Citation for the Bayside Fire Station, and the AIA San Diego 2006 Young Architect of the Year Award.
